HELP

had the jimny 02 many years drove through blizzards drifts ect ! just drove home from work put it 4wd lo to come onto snow covered estate 4wd light on come round corner sideways ! :woohoo: missing parked car just :whistle: tried driving up the hill back end sliding allover was overtook by a vauxhaull corsa i looked a total idiot :blush: obviously 4wd not working , there,s been a funny noise when driving for a few days like a landrover makes tires coming down the road . and also pulled vac pipes off at weekend while messing with brakes ect but did put them back on ! just laid under the car in snow while in 4wd lo and cant turn front prop shaft , so whats up before i make a bigger idiot of myself ! :ohmy:

Jack one front wheel up and see if it spins , do same with other side
I would come and help mate but suffering with kidney stones at the mo :pinch:

if you got it in 4wd you wont be able to turn front prop you need to jack it up & check if the hubs are locked

4wd light is on on dashboard and cant turn front prop by hand but definately not in 4wd cant go nowhere slides all over the place making me look a right plonker ! :blush: will jack it up try that if they spin then what . im wondering if something in front diff has gone but prop does turn by hand in 2wd and not in 4wd , reaper your full of excuses :evil: will go and look now

Its amazing how crap Jimnys are in light snow in 2wd! Sideways turning down the Ford earlier!
