Guys does anyone know What gauge cable should I use to relocate the solenoid box higher in the engine bay on my winch? I plan to have it right next to the battery so can reuse the 2 existing cables but need a 3rd length. I have some 20mm squ AWG4 cable in the garage from an old sound instal. Would this be up to the job?

Depends on how big a winch you have.
But in any case, 20 mm2 cable is too small.
You need 35mm2 at least, preferably 50 mm2 if you winch is a 9500 lb or more.

Thanks Tom, i had a feeling it would be too small, I will see what I can get hold of and decide where to position it all.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI bought som 60 mm2 cable from this shop on ebay :)



But they many different sizes :)

i huse heavy duty jump leads and cut up and put on connectors etc.....works a treat and tested up to 800cca
