Im looking into getting a 2inch suspension lift on my jimny.
I was wondering should i get the covers for the shocks as my
Mate said they keep all the mud and crap in the shock, shorly if you
Use cable ties it will keep the crap out?

I have no problems without them, they can only hold in any muck. Saying that I have mine on my steering damper, no idea why I put it on :-) But it will come off when I strip my jimny down for its new suspension set-up.

They can hold muck if they're not installed properly. There's a little hole one one side of the rubber boot which allows water/condensation to leak out, that is if you don't cover it of course. Previous owner covered it and rust formed on the shock casing :(
