Dave - I also used 50 sq mm cable and soldered the lugs on the end. The alternator is standard and the battery is a Varta 650cca. Don't know how well it will all work but its a first event so a bit of try and see. This event is also being run by a Land Rover predominant club, but they don't mind what vehicle you use. It's described as a novice winch challenge and I know the organisers well, so should be a bit of fun. My team mate is my nephew with his Sammi to which he has fitted a big drum Goldfish with a bow 2 motor, so should be a bit over winched compared to mine!

Sorry to hijack this thread with winch info!

Manual VVT, 2 1/2" lift, ORA castor corrected arms, 2" ORA body lift, 4:1 transfer box, Uprated front shafts & CVs ERM , ARBs back & front 3.9 diffs, 6 point cage, ORA winch bumper - Superwinch EP9, ORA rear bumper, ORA axle truses, Diff guards ERM , TBR tank guard, Snorkel, Kumho KL71.30.9.50 15

I think you're right ;)

I've only got 30 meters of 10mm fitted. But got it cheap :-)

Saw that want an internal rollcage. Do you make it yourself?
