Few more pictures for you bear in mind i do not have the jimny front cross member as my front axle sit 75mm further foward than standard this allows me to Run 33s with ease and up to 38s if required without hacking away at the floor with a welder and grinder so also my steering box has been moved foward by 75mm.

Cross meber fully welded and gusseted in place

Thought would Ali chequer plate to the top of the bumper give my winch Bitch somthing to grip onto :)

My recovery points are also welded to and wrapped around the new cross member NOT on the bumper as when using a snatch block you can double the load on the bumper mounts

Also diagonal straps back to the chassis with strenghtening plates welded to the chassis this is to counteract the rotational forces on the bumper when the winch is pulling hard will prob end up with twin motor set up so there are massive forces apon the bumper and its mounts

Agree with Sponnie :-)

This is a great build. And I can understand the purpose of the chequer plate. But no, it does not look good :-)

Have you got any mods for the winch planned?
I want a Bowmotor 3 for my 8274 when I have the money.
