Are there two types of g13bb jimny engine,one with a crank sensor and one without.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Yes there are, and no they won't 
There have been some posts on here about it, the cam shaft is different: it has a different number of sensor teeth, someone machined his camshaft to work, so I don't think that there is a pulley that you can change.
Try a bit of searching around the forum, or maybe the person who did the swap will reply.

I did a swap like this. It was putting a hard top into a soft top.
The hard top cam wheel on the back of the cam has different numbers of teeth.
So I compared them removed the spare teeth. The pulley was pressed off and orientated correctly. It ran spot on after.

To go hard to into soft top I also had to swap the bottom pulley behind the crank pulley, swap the sump and drill the oil pump to take the sensor. You good re use your cam as long as its ok and the journals are the same size.
Putting the soft top into hard top is easier as you only need to swap the cam.
