No Fwd when in 4wd

If both had gone then yes , but if just one then i would expect some resistance in the diff , and when being driven by the prop you should also get a least some drive to one wheel
Thing is when a cv goes the diff acts like one wheel is of the floor as there is no resistance on that side


Thanks reaper, well I guess only time will tell when I take it apart tomorrow morning, I have everything crossed that it is just a CV and not the diff or both CV joints :ohmy:

I lost drive to the front, removed 1 hub as a guess, then the other and all was ok, then thought it must be the diff so this is how it looked once pulled out.

Mines all running good for now, starter motor needs a bit of TLC but it always starts eventually. :silly:

Well the good news is that it was just the offside cv joint, it's all replaced now and. Am back to having 4wd.

The cv was pretty destroyed really.

Fortunately out of a 50 50 choice I removed the drivers side first and although it was ok it had no grease and was full of muck so this was also cleaned and packed with fresh grease.
