hello all

i have a 2002 jimny, today whilst driving back on the A30 the check engine and immoboliser warning light started flashing and the tachometer needle was moving up an down chaotically. i had to pull over as the engine was chugging, managed to get home but kept the speed to 50mph. do any of you guys have an idea as to what caused this? thanks for any replies

Crankshaft sensor most likely.
Found on side of engine block between alternator and block.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
