As with others on here I have read the problems with front seat belts not returning.this is making the air bag light coming on. Are the belts on the jimny specific to that model or are there others that will fit.
How much would a new pair cost.

I doubt that the seat belts being slow to retract have got anything to do with the air bag system. The seatbelts in the Jimny look pretty straight forward with no wiring going anywhere near them.
EDIT: some models have seatbelt pre tensioners and there are sensor wires going to them. Look at section 10B of the workshop manual (have a look at the workshop manuals thread pinned at the top for how to find one) for details of error codes that can be caused by the seatbelt pre tensioner wiring.

I heard about them not returning and have tis on mine but it doesnt affect the light and havent heard of this , ony if you remove seat belts does it make the light come on due to the sensor wires

you need to scrape, clean and silcon spray the upper seat belt guides on a regular basis, they're pretty narrow and tend to fill with crud - no idea where it comes from as I ain't no minger
most Jimny user's are aware of this problem - well those that wear seat belts
