In my sj u couldnt get into 1st from 2nd without decluching and forceing it in abit.
But my 2 jimnys both are the same. They wont go in either. Just thought it was normal.

I think it must just be the way it is then, I know some other car manufactures do and some don't,

Just hoping I could modify to resolve, but doesn't sound like I could. No worries.

I rarely go down into 1st but if I do I double clutch on the way down and give it a little rev to help it match ratios and it slips in easy. That is the way we had to do it in the old "No synchro" days when changing down and the way we have to do it in trucks.
