brake lights not working was created by nate78
have just taken my jimny for mot all went well apart from the brake lights not working! both side and middle brake lights are not working so im thinking its not the bulbs, i have taken the brake light switch off and taken it apart to look inside, all seems to be working ok, i have also looked at the fuses under the steering wheel and they look ok too, its too late now but i will get a bulb to try, does anyone know what fuse is for the brake lights? failing all that any other ideas? thanks

i tried the wire trick but still didnt work, i decided to find which fuse was for the brake lights and took it out, at first glance it looked fine but i could just see a split in the fuse, so changed it and all fine, i was surprised to see that the fuse didnt blow at the 'weak' point, ive never seen that before, thanks for your help
