Well...quick update for you all. I checked everything that everyone suggested, to no avail.
So...Off with his head! It wasn't easy, defnitely not a job for the faint hearted, the amount of stuff around it that has to come out is incredible, but it came out in the end. The head gasket was absolutely mullered, which I was relieved about, as after all that I would have been gutted if it had looked pristine and wasn't the problem. The head has cleaned up well, and I only have .005 in it, so not sure I will even get it milled, as that is as minimal as it gets. I 'll load up the pictures tomorrow if anyone is interested?
All I need to do now is get it all back together before the snow comes... :ohmy:
