Fuel pump was created by Ngaire
My jimny won't start due to lack of fuel getting into the engine. Could this possibly be because of a broken fuel pump? Does anyone know how to change them, where they're located and the best place to buy them off the Internet? Or could it be a blocked fuel filter?

How did you determine it's fuel the engine isn't getting? Are you sure it's not spark that's missing or something else?

It might be anything, fuel pump, clogged filter, broken relay or a blown fuse. The pump is located in the fuel tank, so you need to drop the tank off to be able to change it.Ngaire wrote: My jimny won't start due to lack of fuel getting into the engine. I would look at the easy stuff first like the relay and fuses as you don't want to take the tank out for fun! Or try to find the wiring to the pump and put it straight to a battery to test in situ.
Also, as above. How have you come to the conclusion it's not getting fuel. Could be a failed crank or cam sensor. Have you got an eml showing?
