Is it important to use a tourqe wrench when tightening my diff plugs,
I dont have one and my diffs making some nasty noises so i'm dropping the oil, and changing it see if that makes a difference?
Cheers

I didn't use one when i changed mine, just nipped it up by hand with the socket (no t-bar) and used some sealant to prevent leaks. The filler plug can be quite stubborn so try that before the drain plug.

According to the manual the drain plug is 27nM and the fill plug 50nM so I suppose without a torque wrench thats just nipped up on the drain and 'quite tight' on the fill with a bit of sealent on both to make sure

well i never ended up changing my diff oil because i thought i'd have a jack up and look around,
and it seems the n/s wheel is making the noise not my diff, it has a wobble in it making me think its my wheel bearing,
but also when i applied my handbrake, my o/s wheel locked up along time before my n/s wheel!
any idea's i know my shoes are getting low but thats going to have to wait till pay day as i'm skint
could they have anything to do with the noise?
any help would be great
dont know if i've explained it very well

Also there is a clicking sound but not on every rotation of the wheel, just every 5 seconds say, more prominant at lower speeds, that or my tyre/exhaust/snorkel cancels out the sound
