Unbolt 4 bolts from prop. Pull prop out. Remove seal. Replace seal. Refit prop. Top up any oil lost our better still do a gbox oil change check condition of prop when out. Inspect uj and shiny bit that mates with oil seal

I don't think it's that simple. Suzuki quote 2.7 hrs to do the job. I had mine replaced cheaply by someone local and he only took 1 3/4 hrs??
Problem is it's still leaking. I've had a look and I think you can get the prop out without removing the gearbox gear linkage support bracket BUT you can't really see the seal when you are putting the prop back in.
I suspect the bracket and exhaust might have to be removed as well? 08 VVT
Possibly this is the reason mine is still leaking eg damage when putting prop back??
Anyone know if there is a special technique to avoid damage to the seal??
It's got a double lip and I just wondered if you had to insert it then pull back out slightly to allow the outer lip to settle??
Also there is some grease around the inside of the seal from the manufacturer. I assume you are supposed to spread this around the sealing edge and prop before fitting?
Just as a matter of interest the prop looks fairly new(no rust like the others) which would suggest to me that it may have been changed before under warranty. I know there have been a few leaky seals changed on low mileage cars.
Any way of finding out??

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)
