I'm I a bit thick, surely when a shocker is depressed and then released it should spring back to the exteded position, because my front ones don't :unsure:

Is that not the springs job? The damper will stay put, it just has oil/gas in it I think.

Just my idea of the set up.

Gas shocks will do that, but the oil filled won't.

If you've undone the bottom bolt it will sort of find its natural position, i had to fight with mine to extend them far enough while i put the bolt in, if i let go it crept back!

If they're all bolted up to the car if you bounce the corner it should go up, down, then settle.
