HELP sohc cylinder head question

HELP sohc cylinder head question was created by markyp2000

on stripping my cylinder head down to carry out a rebuild i found this item that clips on the rocker shaft then clips on to the cam follower 2 of them are ok but the rest have broken are they realy needed

Ive got 1 missing as well was busted when i took the cam out cant really see what they do did think about going to Suzuki just to see how much they were just for a damn good laugh

thats what i thought as the cam holds them down are you running with one missing or you still rebuliding it

Its running mate
just cant really see what they are for other than to hold it together during assembly if they are there to
stop the fingers coming out under high revs then they are pretty weak and rubbish cant see they would stop the fingers jumping out and really there is no reason why they would want to come out anyway.

i found out the clip are there just to hold them down while putting it all back together
