Jimny valve clearances. was created by bazzab
Hi all,

Did head gasket today phew what a job.

All ok apart from got a noisey valve. Did adjust them but in manual i have it said line crank pully notch up with 0 marking on timing cover. Only problem is my crank pully dosent have a notch in it!!

Anyone got any tips for getting it all set up ok for adjusting the bad boys?

Many thanks in advance.

get number 1 cylinder inlet and exhaust valves rocking and adjust cylinder 4

cyl 2 rocking do 3
cyl 3 rocking do 2
cyl 4 rocking do 1

inlet 0.17mm to 0.21 mm
exhaust 0.27mm to 0.31 mm

and thay are adjusted when hot

Used the dent in the bottom cam belt pulley as opposed to ancillary belt pulley. As stated in manual.
