Hi all,
Did head gasket today phew what a job.
All ok apart from got a noisey valve. Did adjust them but in manual i have it said line crank pully notch up with 0 marking on timing cover. Only problem is my crank pully dosent have a notch in it!!
Anyone got any tips for getting it all set up ok for adjusting the bad boys?

get number 1 cylinder inlet and exhaust valves rocking and adjust cylinder 4
cyl 2 rocking do 3
cyl 3 rocking do 2
cyl 4 rocking do 1
inlet 0.17mm to 0.21 mm
exhaust 0.27mm to 0.31 mm
and thay are adjusted when hot
cyl 2 rocking do 3

Used the dent in the bottom cam belt pulley as opposed to ancillary belt pulley. As stated in manual.markyp2000 wrote: if it dont have a notch how did you set the valve timing

the dent in the cam pully should be pointing to 12oclock on the bottom
im doing a full rebuild on mine and found one of the conrods bent and the valve guides shot as well i was hoping to get mine all done this weekend but no thing always go wrong on my own cars
