With 235's off road will require a'lot of clutch slipping. A rocklobster not only gives more torque but also engine braking.

Hi supergaz,

To be honest, i rarely use 1st and 2nd gears when in Low range. The 3rd becames the 1st. So i thought that with 235s i could use 1st and 2nd when in Low and that will be the same... I don't do climbing, only hilly roads eventually. What do you think?

Thanks

Not sure with a VVT model, or if the following would help as it is for upto 05 models.

215's would be a far better option, also 235's will require arch trimming.

arch trimming even with 2.5" suspension lift plus 2" body lift?

Thanks a lot for your opinion on tyres. These gears do not fit mine. Also, i'm trying to quit spending more money on this toy!

I've had to trim with 4.5" suspension lift and 2" body lift. My tyres are 235/75/15 special tracs so will measure slightly more being a remould.
