I must have had half a dozen fail since I've been driving, the diaphragm or whatever leaks, and oil gets both sides of it, so the switch needs more pressure to operate, and sometimes oil weeps out along the spade connector or around the rim of the plastic part.
Some cars will cut out if the light comes on to protect the engine, don't know if a jimny will.
already changed it made no difference so i think its the pump i wanted to get it running right so when i take it out i can sell on to fund my build of it

I doubt it very much, what is the mileage on the vehicle ?
I'd put money on it being oil pump related, if the light goes out when RPM is increase then like I said its probaly the oil pressure relief valve passing.

Which crack oil seal are you replacing' the front one ??
If so your not far away from removing the oil pump!
In my 16 years experience as a vehicle technician I have never seen worn main bearings at that mileage. Plus the wouldn't all wear and fail like that anyway.
Trust me....you need to check what oil pressure you are actually getting, (easy job) if it's low, and the fault you are describing it's the oil pump, most likely the PRV on the pump. I have seen it many times.
Get it done fella
