if i get ORA diff guards to weld them on i will need to drop the oil is that all i need to do and just inch stich weld them not to put to much heat in there will that be all guys any tips thanks

I just got mine on, drained oil and put back in as it was still newish. I've just a few tacks holding them on in various places, going to fill the rest in with silicon, I cannot see the point of fully welding them solid.

Has anyone welded these without dropping the oil, would it not be better to leave it in to dissipate the heat?
