I've fitted Fox Air Shox - which I think are fantastic as you can configure the rate and damping coefficient to perfectly suit your vehicle.
Obviously you can do the same with coil overs - but if you want to change the springs to change the rate - you are looking at £200+ per set and most people don't get it right first time.
Having said that, milliners are very good. The advice they give on rates and lengths is about as good as it gets, so long as you can give them the axle weights and intended application. I ran dual springs on each shock to get a good combination of flexibility and bump response - but changed one set of springs as I got it wrong first time.
I've adjusted the Air Shox a few times and the only cost has been a bit of shock oil and some Nitrogen gas!
Either option is not cheap - around £200 per corner, but worth every penny! I'm just about to order Fox Shox (regular shocks, not air) for my 110 having been disappointed with most others!
