Sorry to sound a bit thick on this one, but i'm confused as to the correct brake disc to buy for my 08 Jimny.

Done some searching on the web and it appears there are 2 different sizes based on the hub hole centre, one being 107mm (the cheaper one) & the other is 108.3mm.

As far as I know, my vehicle is 16V DOHC and the VIN NO. is 00352222.

I have a feeling that i'm going to need the expensive discs! Can anyone advise?

Richie

I'd be worried about needing a set of discs on an 08 plate

What is wrong with the old ones?

They're warped! Only 27000 on the clock, but you can feel the shakes when you brake, also when braking under slow speed, you can feel it through the brake pedal.

The OEM parts must be cheap metal!

I'd take the front brakes apart and clean them. Mine was pulling right and shaking the wheel pretty bad, of course I thought discs. But when I tore them apart to install the new ones I saw that the left caliper wasnt closing all the way due to crud. I usually try to look and fix before I order parts, but I got lazy and now I have new discs I didn't need.

Check that there isn't a seized calliper when you fit new discs.

Modern pad material wrecks discs if you use the brakes: 15-20,000 from a pair of discs is normal around town, especially if the car stands idle some of the time.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
