Hey guys,
Well I'm back in love with Jambo and as ever want to improve her.
Currently got the full 4.5" ORA suspension kit which is good. Off road excellent, On road shite unless on perfect roads rarely seen in the UK.
I want a better On-road and Off-road ride. I'm willing to throw up to £1k at this (I got no kids at 31 so why not!!)
Can I have suggestion from those in the know please. I've got Milner on my doorstep so will visit them regarding Fox etc.
I do use the Jimny on play day sites a few times a month and yes I like the bling too.
Is this purely a damper issue? as the springs do seem very soft and will compress easily.
Every bump, pothole and especially speedbumps have me down to nearly 20mph:blink: this is a bloody mini monster truck for god sake! My mums old frontera was like a merc limo compared to this!!
Cheers.

Its the dampers that are key as you have identified. You can have soft springs but its the dampers that provide the control of the "bounce". You'll struggle to overcome some of the problems due to the short wheelbase but overall its achievable. If you have the skills then the products are out there.
Speak to Darren @kap first as they raced a jimny in compsafari. Maybe Rob @ora, the DIRT competitions involve speed sections but they're totally different animals.
40secs ish.
A great project, if you could get some remotely adjustable shocks i think you could have it cracked. The biggest hurdle i'd guess would be getting them to perform at road speeds and at low speed off road.

Just spoke to Rob@ORA have ordered a rear shock adjuster bracket with multiple shock positions, that will change the ride quality significantly he says.
