gear stick woble

hi

new to this fourm i have just changed the clutch on my 52 plate jimny everything works but the gear stick is wobley when in or out of gear and hard to to find 1st but was not like this before i took it apart i can not see any thing wrong with any help would be great

did you take the gear stick out of the gearbox? or did you just drop the gearbox?

hi

i took the stick out of the remote housing then removed the remote housing so i could get the gear box out put everything back together and the stick wobles in or out of gear like if the stick isn't bolted to the housing

Did you put the nylon bush back on the end of the gear stick when you but it back in the gear remote housing, some times it drop off in to the grease next to the gear selector.
