Split Charge System. was created by wanderinstar
I intend fitting a secondary battery on the n/side inner wing, after moving the washer bottle forward. Question is how do I fit a split charge system.Been on the bay and there is one for about £.20 while others are about £70-80. Reading the bumf it appears that the secondary battery takes its power from the vehicle battery while the ignition is switched on. Have I got this right?

the one i had on my camper was £5 from towsure
your alternator charges your main battery and when thats full it flicks over and charges the slave
on a normal car battery it doesnt need much charge so most of the time its charging the slave
