Hi Andrew,
I seem to be in the same boat as you.Ibought mine, yesterday, for shooting and occasional off roading. The biggest tyres I have found,in theory, are 215/60x15. Personally I will be looking for 195x15. As these are not too wide but still give decent clearance for the diff. Apperantly the place to go is"tyresdirectuk.co.uk".
Ian.

It certainly does sounds like we are in the same boat Ian!! So what actual tyres did you buy? Make/model etc and what do you think of them so far? I dont really mind how big they really, just as long as they are fairly decent off road, they fit my standard jimny and they dont break the bank!!

What shooting do you mostly do?
Andrew

I haven't got any yet.Only got the car yesterday. Was going to get a set of 195x15MalatestaTrak tyres at £60.78each. But some very kind person on here has offered me a set of Vitara wheels and tyres. So will put buying the Malatesta's on hold.
Go rifle shooting mainly but the lad has a couple of shotguns as well. With the Jimny's being so narrowI don't think I will be able to rest the rifle on the door top.So will have to try and make some sort of gunrest to fit to the inside of the door.

Ah fair enough. Ive just taken a look at the site and it looks pretty good to be fair. I was just looking at some A/T tyres at only £53 ea which I think is pretty good. Would rather buy a complete set of wheels and tyres though that have come off a Jimny so I know for sure they will fit! Any idea what the second number in the wheel pattern description (I.E. 205/80/R15) a standard jimny will go up to?

Sounds good, Im mostly doing game shooting at the moment seeing as the season is in but pigeon shooting hopefully lined up for next year and then lamping once my father has got his FAC sorted...A.K.A me having to buy some slightly better tyres for the Jimny. I do not want to get stuck outside somewhere in the middle of the night! Speaking about a bracket for the door to fire from, I would certainly be interested in anything you come up with. I have seen and used external door mounted frames to fire from which are very good.

oh right, thanks for that. I have Duellers at the moment and they are great to be fair but I want some tyres that are a little bit more capable off road if it gets nasty out there!!
