Front seat belts on 03 Jimny. was created by dogseal
Hi to all, It's my first post on here so go easy on me.
Does anyone know if it's possible to retension the front seat belts? The drivers side is the worst, I have to thread the belt back in after it's been used..It's driving me mad!
I had the rear panels off a couple of weeks back to do the rear speaker conversion ( Which I read on here cheers guys.)
I've had the car for about a month now, First offroad trip was a couple of weeks ago up to Stanage pole..No problem! I've just tried it out in the snow on the hills above Sheffield tonight. I'm impressed with it so far.

Cannot answer your question but wondered whereabouts you were from, im South Sheffield. Got a good play day near me, but not ventured onto Stanage yet.
Reading about the snow got me all excited! lol

It's a "bug" with all Jimnys. Cleaning up the seatbelts (warm water + bit of soap) seems to help for a while, but then it's back. Easier for your mind to not bother with this problem

yeh, my 2007 belts are just as bad
check where they slide into the upper guide, the lips on mine were black and sticky - scraped it off and squirted with silicon, def helped for a while ...... has just reminded me to do it again
ps. welcome to the forum

You can buy spring loaded winders that clip onto seatbelts. They used to be quite common back in the days when there was no auto-winder but you can still order them in from a motor parts store like Repco or Bursons
