If you do a spring lift you may need some or all of the following:
new springs
longer brake lines
longer shock or shock extenders
caster correction arms or bushes otherwise the car will wander about and the steering wont self centre
could also do with adjustable panard rods to align the wheels
and you may also need a prop spacer
to do it correctly
thats what i needed anyway when i started altering mine
out of the two the body lift is easier and cheeper to do, imo

I wouldn't go near the cheapo bodylifts on ebay!
I highly recommend the Jimnybits kit
www.jimnybits.co.uk/shop/jimny/jimny-2-/...ift-kit/prod_45.html
The cheapo kits dont come with sleeve bolts and require the originals to be cut out.

i agree with supergaz, i think some of the cheaper kits are just plastic spacers and doesn't come with anything.

i think i ruins the drive, mines not as nice to drive since iv had the bodylift, seems to have a little more roll on the corners.

remember the pipe for the valcum hubs i forgot them and pulled them off when jacking it up!
