My Mrs step Dad runs a Starter and Alternator Rebuild company that he's had since the 80's so he knows what he's doing.
I'm nowhere near you though and he hates them if they are full of mud - already passed business his way from our club and he was not impressed!
Getting yours re-built will be cheaper than a re-con from a motor factors.
Don't buy cheap crap Chinese stuff though that motor factors sometimes sell, especially the large national chain who's name I'llnot mention - they last no time at all, usually just after their guarentee runs out they fail!
