Outstanding.

I'm off to Maplins at the weekend. I've got to make some of those.

They are an awesome light! Very bright!

The only slight downside to it, and will be with all LEDs, is distance. 100m is generally the cut off point for LEDs, unless you have a very fine beam. But even if you travel at 100km/h (27m/s), thats still 4 seconds of time to react which should be plenty for anyone.

Just the heads up if you order from dealextreme, the time it takes to receive my orders range from 2-4 weeks. But they have been reliable so far, and no DOAs yet. Also where I got my rock lights from, only $15.

They do have a warehouse in the UK (relatively new), but I'm not sure if these parts are stocked there. You can change the shipping to EMS for about $15 but I don't know how much faster that would get it to you. The shipping/customs side of things usually only take 1-1 1/2 weeks from dispatch so you would only save a week as a guess.

I don't think you will find the casing or driver, particularly for that cheap elsewhere without similar delivery (most likely another HK or China store). You could make the case yourself if you have a metal lathe, but you'd still be waiting on the driver.
