On a black jimny I use to own I put the fog lights behind the bonnet grills. They were not attached to the bonnet. Its a stealth thing

Air can still get past the lights, although more restricted (doubles as active cooling on the lights). From what I can see, most of the air will come from the grill on the bumper, but people still remove it and put a bullbar there instead without issues. Combining both the lights and a bullbar might be an issue.
I don't have any heat issues with the lights installed in the grill.

Hmm I did wonder about the heat/cooling potential problems, although of course when off roading your doing very little speed, yet the engine keeps cool, so I dont think it will affect the cooling enough to be a problem.
Im with Jo here, stealth or at least not sticking out to catch anything or be ripped off by little tw%ts in the neighbourhood.
Well, this weekend I found out my Hella work lamps (intended for a FLT or JCB) which are perfect for the back of the Jimny, so Id like to get everything wiring wise done at the same time.
Thanks for the Sandez, im looking forward to having a tinker over xmas

Thanks ShuDuck,
I'd rather them steal the car then its parts, atleast its covered by insurance.
Of course the added bonus was for it to not stick out the furthest or be the lowest point on the car, for obvious reasons
My reason for the grill install was for the latter, considering I have to park on the street for work in perhaps one of the worst suburbs, it was a big factor. We even had a work colleague have her entire exhaust stolen from her car in broad daylight!Sponnie wrote: Im with Jo here, stealth or at least not sticking out to catch anything or be ripped off by little tw%ts in the neighbourhood.
