Cheers jo king. I hear kam are in development off a front locker. So in terms of the future they would be a better bet. They can also do the welding for the new diff pan for you, about £50. I do know someone who could probably do this anyway and help with the overall build. I am mainly going for KAM baised on price and other people veiws such as yourself.

Cheers

I would go for a winch first.

A winch will get you out of anything when all else has failed. When I had my first Land Rover, I bought a rear locker first - then found myself stuck on a Forrest track. I was about 30 miles from any help and it was before mobile phones. I spent 24 hours digging myself out and constructing a bridge out of logs. The next day, I bought a winch, which would have got me out in half an hour tops. Since then, I've always had a winch on my vehicle.

A Winch will get you out of trouble. A locker will give you the balls to get you in deep trouble. :pinch:
You can have more fun with a wench  ;)

Thanks for your opinions guys. This is what i was thinking about as to when i would need a winch. Stuck in the middle of the sticks miles from help. I surpose if i just go to pay and plays then the diff locker would come first, but i also enjoy greenlaning so realy the winch should come first?

Ok winch first then. ;) As to diff lockers, its already been briefly covered in this thread, do i go for KAM or ARB. I am not interested in lockright, i want to be able to turn it on and off as its my daily car. At the moment my minds set on Kam. Mainly due to it being cheaper, well made and close to me for parts and surport. I know ARB are great but dont you have to buy the compressor seperately? Only bonus would be the need not to have to cut into the axle. This isnt realy an issue anyway.
So opinions on both are welcome.
