No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThey are quite rare but they pop up on ebay every now and then - here's an odd one for sale on there now!

They are a little bit of a Marmite wheel I think. I didn;t think I'd like them but now they are on I do. I have a set of Jimny original steels (which my spare is one of) and planned to get them swapped across but I've grown to like these now so I've not bothered.

I see you had them for sale at one point? I got all excited when i saw the advert until i realised it was you selling them. I will keep a look out as i want a set of AT if the future so will need another set of rims. I like the modulars ive got but it would be nice to have something a bit different.

I did yes and if one of the Jimny wheels I had wasn't buckled probably would have sold them still to clear room in the garage but now they are on and i like them I wouldn't let them go! They are different to everyone elses Jimny wheels as you say. They are also 5mm further offset, not that 5mm makes a whole world of difference!

Somewhere above, you ask the question ARB or KAM?
They both have advantages & disadvantages. The advantage of an ARB is it's easier to fit as it only requires an easy modification to the diff carrier - drill and tap a hole.
However, the KAM diff is a more elegant design, doesn't need a compressor and long term is more reliable.
Given a choice at this moment, I'd go with KAM. Even though you have to weld a mounting ring on to the axle casing, it's not difficult and you end up with a better locker for your money.

I google'd KAM diffs last night, trying to find out how good they are compared to ARB.
One of the answers that kept repeating in many forums is how weak the half-shafts are. From what I can read, KAM HD-shafts are weaker than standard Jimny axles.

Yes i did! We went a little of topic. I can probably get help with the welding or they can do it for you for £50 odd.I also like the design, as you say elegant.
Tomdk, where those review regarding Landrover KAM lockers? Thing is i have heard good and points from both makes. They are based close to me so anything like that would mean its not to far to get them to sort it. Even though that would be a major problem if one broke!
Again its down to price. The ARB one is considerably more. Question is, is the ARB one worth that much more. Baised on reviews on KAMlockers i am not so sure.
