Who has fitted one of these? Are they really needed?

Car will need MOT'd in November so just looking at things that "may" need sorting before hand.

Other car will be SORN'd at the end of Sept so Jimny will be used every day.

I made a simple bracket and fitted it and although my MOT man who is used to modified cars was impressed I had bothered I dont know if It really makes any real difference and I am sure it wouldnt result in a MOT failure

I fitted something similar to mine after its MOT as the back brakes gave a rather low reading on the brake test machine. The tester didn't know why it was low as the handbrake reading was good. I realised, added the bracket extension, and the following year for its MOT the reading was normal so I guess the brake balancer does have some effect!

Thought I would have a look under mine to see if it already had the bracket and it hasnt...

It also only has half of the spring, looks like its fell apart!

Can you buy the spring on its own?
