The 1.6 Vitara engine is a G Series engine so yes, you can just about bolt the two together. I was warning that the Jimny M Series engine will not necessarily bolt to an SJ Gearbox designed for a G series engine.
I know that if you have a Jimny G Series engine then it will bolt to a SJ413 Gearbox because people have done it.
