yep a 410 with 413 gears is the basis of a rocklobster
most of the jimny specialists do fitting kits/guards to fit one to your jimny
you will also need a sj413 front prop for the rear
I think Darthloachie has got mixed up? You asked about gearboxes and he replied about transfer boxes.
The early Jimnys have G13B engines which are the same as SJs, therefore you can fit the gearbox as far as I am aware. The later Jimnys have M13A series engines and I don't believe the gearboxes fit.

As far as I know, a 1.6 Vit engine will bolt up to a 413 gearbox without an adaptor - though you may have to drill out the odd hole and find a 'thin' starter motor. It will only attach to a 410 gearbox with an adaptor plate AFAIK.
It may be that the 410 box is the same as a Jimny G series??? but the 413 is much less likely to fit without an adaptor.
Why don't you ring & ask Rhino Ray. He has a selection of adaptor plates which are reasonably priced and will have done this at some point. He's known the answer to everything I've asked off the top of his head!
the adaptor plate ive just sold to tony was taken off a sj that had a 1.6 vit engine & 413/sammy gearbox so i presume it should fit a 413 box to the baleno engine
