I managed to find it purely by touch, it was probably an M6 bolt with a lock nut on that had come loose. I tightened it back up to the lock nut, then tested there was about 10mm of free play. The bolt was right at the top of the lever, reaching up from the back of the pedal I could feel the bottom of it if that helps?
I can try taking a photo if u like when I get home on saturday if your still stuck?

Unless the nut is loose, the pedal travel has been the same since it came out of the factory.
No matter how loose the cable, the pedal will still move in the same way.
