Rocklobster Question

You get a "ting", "ting", "ting" noise. I had this, its the bolts are too long on one of the flanges if I remember correctly, they foul something.
It gets worse when you "load" the transmission (i.e. steep hill start)

you get the idea lol..................................get the oxy on it to get a good kink in the stick, really red and it will bend where you want it and not like a bananaB) .......or some people grind it nearly through and then weld it.

Sorry .. Both wrong !!! .. I was looking at the problem today, and it appears to be speed specific .. so, with the lobster box in neutral, and the jimny in Gear, i started to investigate.. The problem appears to be a balancing weight on the mini prop is fouling the bottom of the gearstick assembly. It is more prominent when the gear selector is in the rear position (2nd, 4th, Reverse).
Closer inspection, the underside of the gearstick is on rubber bushes, and these have quite a lot of play. Now .. ignore or try and fix the problem ???...
