Manual locking hub grease! was created by Bigchridy
Now I think I may have asked this question before but I've forgotten the answer!:)

I have rebuilt and repainted my aisin hubs but I need to know what grease to put in them. They had general purpose grease in but this seemed too thick and stopped them from working correctly. Once the grease was removed they worked fine.

I seem to recal someone saying a lithium based grease would do the job but I'm not a 100% and I may have just made that up in my head!!:(

Anyway if anyone has any advise (again!) on what grease to use and any good brands please let me know.

Thanks

Chris

If the grease you've got is too thick, put some in a yoghurt pot or jam jar and mix it with a little EP90 gear oil to thin it so it suits. It will lubricate but not stick then.
