Hi everyone,when was ABS introduced please.

Hello Bigjimny members to coin a fraze im new in here and am about to build a jimny,first could i just say what a great site this is and after reading all the post over the last few weeks i think i have gained enough knowledge to start building my own super jimny offroader and its going to be my Little Terror,ive built a few vitaras in the past so im not a total virgin to all this,anyway after reading all the post i now know what to buy and what not to buy so im looking for a jimny for my base unit to start with but i would like to know what year model does not have ABS does anyone know any help appreciated.ps i dont sound like a little terror do i.

Mine's a 2000 model and does not have it. It may have an option for a while so it could depend on what the first owner wanted. There was a year that all cars had to have it but I don't know when but it was quite late.

I take it you don't want it? It's not helpful off road and makes maintenance a little more of a pain.

Thanks for the info,i guess im just going to ask the owner or is there another way to find out,and your right i dont want abs.
