One of the things to consider is the effect on the gearing - by this I mean you will probably end up with ultra low gears. The manual VVT use a transfer box with 1:1 for high and 4.3 diffs. If you fit a rocklobster your high range will be 1.58:1 which is a huge reduction. It does enable you to go up easily in tyre size but the gearing will still be low. To help you can fit diffs from a non VVT which are generally 3.9:1 (non auto models)
Not helping the situation is also the main gearbox which in 5th on a VVT is 1:1 whereas on earlier models 5th gear is 0,864:1 which is a kind of overdrive gear.
This is the voice of experience telling you this!!
I suppose another option is to use the transfer box from an auto VVT which has a high of 1,32:1 and low of 2,643:1 - the manual car has a low of 2,002:1.

Food for thought!

Manual VVT, 2 1/2" lift, ORA castor corrected arms, 2" ORA body lift, 4:1 transfer box, Uprated front shafts & CVs ERM , ARBs back & front 3.9 diffs, 6 point cage, ORA winch bumper - Superwinch EP9, ORA rear bumper, ORA axle truses, Diff guards ERM , TBR tank guard, Snorkel, Kumho KL71.30.9.50 15
