Peugeot 1.7 diesels were popular in sj,s but i've not seen many in Jimnys of course though anything can be made to fit if you have the skills at your disposal.
Black Jimny's don't get stuck!

A bloke I know bought an SJ fited with a 2 litre pinto which must have given it a bit of ooomph, not sure what was involved in mating it up to the 4WD though

The carb engine is best, no electronic probs. Maybe a slight bit of work to fit the starter and alter the engine mounts.
Question, will the single cam Jimny electronics suit the Baleno engine?
