Unless they just need a gentle tug to regain drive i wait for somebody in a much better equipped truck or if i'm the only help, i would help on a lane for example rather than leave someone stranded.

I tried recovering another jimny once, a disco tried pulling him forward but was sat in thick mud himself so couldn't get the drive, i tried pulling him back the way he went in, i blew my cv in the process my wheel span on grass then got traction! End result - it took 2 discos to get him out, his back end was stuck in a hole under water that i couldn't see.

I've pulled my mates disco when he got cross axled but the way i look at it if he's stuck in that with a 2" lift and extreme tyres i'm not going to be much use in my little zuk!

Black Jimny's don't get stuck!
