Some pictures of my mates who got their defender well stuck in some slop in the bush. Unfortunatly the Jimny just didnt have the power to get him out so we had to call in my brothers jeep.

Excellent .. you probably could have moved the Landy out with a bit fo a kinetic tug ... all be it at the detriment of yoru clutch (as I found out when pulling a discovery out of "Military style mud" last year.
Love the colour btw looks really nice

if its a land rover they usually just look at the jimny and say "no its fine - my mate is coming" - he was still stuck there two hours later

Unless they just need a gentle tug to regain drive i wait for somebody in a much better equipped truck or if i'm the only help, i would help on a lane for example rather than leave someone stranded.
I tried recovering another jimny once, a disco tried pulling him forward but was sat in thick mud himself so couldn't get the drive, i tried pulling him back the way he went in, i blew my cv in the process my wheel span on grass then got traction! End result - it took 2 discos to get him out, his back end was stuck in a hole under water that i couldn't see.
I've pulled my mates disco when he got cross axled but the way i look at it if he's stuck in that with a 2" lift and extreme tyres i'm not going to be much use in my little zuk!
