Thanks for the heads up on the Carlisle dealer Mike, it's been passed on !
I work close by there so if anything looks interesting I could have a quick peep before you travel long distances on icy roads.

Dont know how that sounds but there is a premium on them at the moment.
I got mine last week, 02 with 75K, the book price is about 2500, i paid 2750, but it means I get to work and I have always wanted one!

I went down to Preston last week & got a 01 Y plate for £2k, which was a bit overpriced - but I really needed a 4x4 to get up my farmer's track in the snow, we had 2 - 2 1/2 feet of snow.
It's had a timing belt & new clutch quite recent & has a new CD player & decent Duleler tyres, also a long mot & tax till May on around 80k miles. Seems to have been well looked after & I'm quite happy really.
The missus missed a full week of work cos we couldn't get out, so it'll help pay some of it's cost back with her (& me) being able to get to work in Jimny.
The guy actually held onto it for me for a day or so, till I got down. He could've sold it really quite easily & said there was quite a few Scottish people on the phone about it. Mad!

After a bit of a chinwag and a major stroke of luck my mate's waiting till after new year now. Apparently one coming into a local(ish) dealer late January against a grand vit Here's hoping they don't change their mind as he's got first refusal, pretty sure a 56 with 32k should be OK but nobodys talked £ yet
At least on a positive note looking at the prices now, mine owes me nothing. It's actually the first car I've had that hasn't depreciated stupid £. Fair enough it probably won't stay that way but happy days for the minute !
