Lack of Jimny's for sale ! was created by SPC5838
A mate is looking to buy a jimny after watching mine cope no problems with the snow, only problem is finding one !

I think everyone else has had the same idea; I got mine from Ar**ld Cl**rk and at the time there was about 10 on their website; there's now one and it was sold, a branch manager said they're having problems getting 4X4's in general not just jimny's. Autotrader found 3, only one of any real interest as wants a newer one but the price was fantasy; standard 06 VVT GLX with 44,000 : £5995  Mine had a screen price of £5995 15 months ago ( actually got it for 5 dead ) with 17000 on the clock. That'll be a " no " then ! annoying thing is another 2 have appeared in the work car park since the snow stared but they were bought from classifieds that he some how missed.

Has anyone spotted one, ideally hard top, on any forecourts or private anywhere and for what price ? Ideally looking for one in Scotland, not rating the odds of getting one for sensible cash until the spring at this rate :(

Thanks for that ! Nice looking motor, well done for finding one :) cos we're epic fail so far  ! Time of year really isn't helping that's for sure, your's looks a like a good deal for the miles and whole load better in the summer B)

Wouldn't mind a higher price for a low mileage one, but more than 3 times the mileage of yours for the guts of 300 quid extra pretty much confirms the one on Autotrader is too rich. I'd gauged it on the original screen price of mine so far, very helpfull!

I popped into the local dealer today to ask about trade in's and he said the demand had gone through the roof. To to add to it apparently the delivery of the new models has been delayed meaning the trade ins they were expecting are being held onto by their current owners.
But if any body knows of a silver auto tin top in southern england can you give me the nod ;)

Silver not that important as I am sure that after a few lanes like this it will need a coat of something a bit more substancial than Suzuki supply

Yes there is cars infront

Good luck, up here north east scotland is a nightmare.... I waas even bidding on ones in manchester and middlesburgh to try and get one.
Finally got one tho, went out the day the local ads paper went on sale, phoned first thing - bloke had already had numerous calls so I said id take it without even looking at it!
£1350 99 plate, 120k, years mot and 6 months tax.
The bloke laffed when I didnt even know the colour/milage etc but held onto it for me.... 3 hour drive later and she was mine :D
While we were picking it up he litteraly had 10+ calls about it!

Maybe I should have used a title that reflects the problem a bit better ;) Lack of Jimnys for sale in Scotland would be closer to the mark !

Bert and Mckay; Glad it's not just me that found a shortage of them up here. I'm not as far north as you guys ( Perth ) but there's none round here. Zip. When a branch manager of one of the biggest garage chains in Scotland tells you he can't get a 4x4 of any sort to have on the forecourt never mind a Jimny ( which isn't even listed on their website as a search option now ) it kinda says it all. Even the zook dealer hasn't got any  Would seem we're going 4x4 daft up here

The nearest ones on autotrader to here now are a 53 auto with 87k, 137 miles away and 146 miles away; 06 vvt glx with 44k. For 6200. Can't blame the trade for bumping the price up when there's more demand, but some of them are having a laugh. Maybe I'm missing a trick: 06 vvt GLX, 29K. £6900. Any takers ? ;) Not really !

Part of the problem is my buddy's looking to replace his Vectra and it'll be his daily driver so something with really high mileage and / or a bit older might not be a good bet. How reliable are Jimnys at higher miles, say 70k plus, kingpins aside or when they get a few years on ? He's kinda realised gonna have to travel a fair bit to get what he's after or compromise a bit. Thanks for the heads up on the Carlisle dealer Mike, it's been passed on !
