soft top was created by zukhunter
i pulled into garage to get petrol and while standing in the queue waiting to pay i hear this screaming looking round to find my 2 dogs running around the shop
after saying sorry and paying i couldnt get out quick enough so after running out i found they had damaged the rear soft top window during the escape
so i decided to build a hard top
i went to the local sheet metal worker and asked if he fancied doing the job
so on friday afternoon we started and this is what we finished with
please bear in mine this jimny is only used for offroading and shooting
and the roof still requires to come off

Good work! Very Utilitarian.
I think it needs a spoiler on it....
I'm guessing it was quite a lot cheaper than buying one?

If its used for shooting - does the lid of the new bit flip back and out you pop A-Team style like Murdock???!!! :silly: :silly:
Looks pretty smart - has it got a box section skeleton inside or is it just the folds that keep it rigid? Be interesting to find out how much it weighs compared to a regular tin top

he has folds in the stress places and reinforced around the door
have to admin it looks alot bigger inside now and heats up quicker
cost just over £150 thats for material and time well i am happy with it
still deciding weather to cut out for rear/side windows or not
looks more secure especially when carrying firearms (out of sight out of mind)
going to fit both a outside and inside work lights
