Whatcha. I know some of you have these on your gen4. For those that do, does it make enough difference to warrant the expense, does it having various modes make a difference or do you find one you like and leave it there? Just I'm finding after a year that it's still easy to stall and it's not particularly smooth off road. Oh and which make is good?

Personally I think they are a waste of money, but it depends on what you want one for?
Usually it’s to get the feeling of more power or faster engine response, you can get the same by pushing your foot down faster; or,
It’s to get better fuel economy. This would only work if you are quite heavy footed.
There’s a lot of posts on an Aus Facebook site, seems people down there are split between loving or hating them, but at least one person sounded a note of warning, Suzuki were refusing to do work under warranty if a throttle controller had been fitted.

It's all against you. Light flywheel, fast revving petrol engine and (nothing personal here ) Heavy work boots! I had a similar situation, but i was used to a big turbo diesel that was all but impossible to stall. You may find that increasing your engine speed will help.

I had one for about a week then got rid of it, the more 'sporty' modes made the throttle response so sensitive that it felt as if it wanted to throw you into the nearest hedge. 0/10.

That's what I'm used to with temeraire, she's set so that looking at the throttle pedal is almost enough to get a reaction which I love. That said though if at a hundred and fifty quid plus it's going to potentially set the dashboard off then I see no point. Just another item on the list of things suzuki got wrong. Oh well. Big jimny forum to the rescue once again!
