Hi. Just been to price up a camshaft sensor from Suzuki - nearly £200!! I know these motors like genuine sensors, but struggling to justify that kind of cost. Martin does not have a sensor in shop, the blueprint one I have does not seem to have done well, so, does anyone recommend a make for replacement before I skint myself further with this car?
Cheers

In my experience the genuine sensors are quite problematic given time. I've not had issues with Blueprint.
Genuine ones are £100 from Sims Suzuki.
Ebay has a choice of brands from £13

An observation from the continent: UK dealer prices seem particularly murderous.
I wonder if it is worth buying from abroad for a small part like that? I'm thinking you could email a dealer in the EU somewhere and potentially find a much better price.
Or maybe Norway. I hear their currency is priced somewhat below cowrie shells these days.
Alternately, maybe someone could post the OEM (Denso?) part number. It would be a little surprising if the same sensor were not used on a number of other marques/models.

Going to try Herth+Buss from Germany (sensible price). I have had Blueprint x2, which didn't seem too good. Tried a used genuine one, which the engine seemed to run better with, but got the EML on after a couple of thousand miles. Will try this one, and then go new original part if that fails.

£32 if you don't mind waiting a week or two
I highly reccomend Amayama if you've got time on your hands to wait for parts, all genuine oem stuff.

Thanks, will try if this one gives up. Engine runs (and it isn't a daily), so a short wait isn't a problem.
